ECOLOGIA, ECONOMIA E REGIÃO:
ATIVIDADES AGRÁRIAS E DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONAL

        RESUMO

.         O funcionamento das economias produz efeitos externos negativos em nossas sociedades e em nossos meio-ambientes. Estados e Mercados têm criado regulamentações pouco eficientes quanto à reversão desses efeitos deletérios dado o novo objetivo desejado por todos - o desenvolvimento sustentável. Vivemos hoje uma guerra de fronteiras entre os domínios particular e público em razão das dificuldades de criar instituições e padrões de comportamento que levem em conta todos os tipos de custos, pois a contabilidade econômica deve ser acrescida da contabilidade ecológica e social. Este artigo examina alguns aspectos das relações entre economia, ecologia e sociedade, enfatizando a regionalização do desenvolvimento sustentável e tomando as atividades agrárias como um exemplo.

        ABSTRACT

        The operation of the economical resources turns out outer negative effects in our society and environment. States and Markets have established some rules, which are not very efficient, related to the reversion of these harmful effects since a new aim is expected by everybody - a supported development. Nowadays we live in a boundary war between the private and the public dominions due to the difficulties in creating institutions and patterns of behavior that take into account all kinds of costs, because the ecological and social budget must be added to the ecological one. This article analyses some aspects of the relationship between economy, ecology and society, emphasizing the regional aspect in a sustainable development, and taking the agrarian activities as an example.
